Rofecoxib is NSAID (non-steroidal antinfalmmatory drug) and a selective COX-2 inhibitor. It reduces swelling and relieves the pain. Rofecoxib is used for symptomatic relieve of pain in osteoarthritis.

Characteristics

Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Rofecoxib are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Dizziness, Nausea, Diarrhea, Increased intracranial pressure.
Indications
Rofecoxib is primarily indicated in conditions like Dysmenorrhoea, Osteoarthritis, Pain, Rheumatoid arthritis, Schizophrenia and other psychoses.

Risks
