Characteristics
Phloroglucinol Hydrate is the derivative of Phloroglucinol. It is of Synthetic origin and belongs to Benzene. It belongs to Gastrointestinal Anticholinergics/Antispasmodics and Antispasmodic Musculotropic pharmacological group.The Molecular Weight of Phloroglucinol is 126.10.
Contraindications
Phloroglucinol is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to any component of product.
Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Phloroglucinol, which give rise to further complications include Hypotension, Angioneurotic edema.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Phloroglucinol are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Rashes, Urticaria.
Indications
Phloroglucinol is primarily indicated in conditions like Biliary spasm, Dysmenorrhoea, GI motality disorder, Pain, Smooth muscle spasm, Urinary spasm, Uterine spasm.
