Permethrin is a photostable synthetic pyrethroid that possosses broad spectrum insecticidal activity and low mammalian toxicity. Permethrin is used as an insecticide to treat scabies and head lice.

Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Permethrin are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Burning, Edema, Numbness, Tingling, Local irritation, Stinging on application, Scalp discomfort.

Permethrin is primarily indicated in conditions like Pediculosis, Scabies.
