Meningitis Vaccine is a sterile lyophilized extract of the group specified polysaccharide capsular antigens from Neiseria meningitidis. Meningitis Vaccine is used to provide active immunisation (protection) against meningitis. Meningitis Vaccine is recommended for children 2 years of age and older and adults at risk in epidemic and highly endemic areas .

Contraindications

Some vaccine contains antibiotics in small amount and should not be given to patients with history of anaphylaxis to the agent used.
