Acepromazine (Maleate) also known as Acetylpromazine, Acetylpromazine. . It is of Synthetic origin and belongs to Phenothiazine. It belongs to D2 antagonist pharmacological group on the basis of mechanism of action and also classified in Psychotherapeutic Drugs and Phenothiazine pharmacological group.The Molecular Weight of Acepromazine (Maleate) is 442.50. It is weakly acidic drug and Its pKa is 9.3.
Contraindications
Acepromazine (Maleate) is contraindicated in conditions like Depression,Parkinsonism,Blood dyscrasias,Bone marrow depression,Coma,Brain damage.
Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Acepromazine (Maleate), which give rise to further complications include Hypotension, Hypotension.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Acepromazine (Maleate) are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Constipation, Dry mouth, Blurred vision, Nasal congestion, Mydriasis, Agitation, Delirium, Dry mouth.
Indications
Acepromazine (Maleate) is primarily indicated in conditions like Anxiety disorder, Hiccup, Insomnia, Nausea and vomiting.
