Urofollitrophin is a follicle-stimulating hormone, extracted from human post-menopausal urine. It stimulates the ovulation in female and spermatogenesis in male.

Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Urofollitrophin, which give rise to further complications include Hyperstimulation syndrome.Urofollitrophin produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Electrolyte and volume depletion, Oliguria, Ovarian enlargement, Ascites, Pleural effusion, Abdominal distention. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Urofollitrophin therapy.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Urofollitrophin are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Headache, Rashes, Urticaria, Hair loss, Dry skin, Breast tenderness, GI disturbance.
Indications
Urofollitrophin is primarily indicated in conditions like Induction of ovulation, Polycystic ovary syndrome.
