Sulphur

Sulphur is an antiseptic and has a long history of use as a scabicide. Although Sulphur is non-irritating, but it has unpleasant odor, produces staining and is thus disagreeable to use. It has been replaced by more esthetic and effective scabicides in the recent years. But it remains a possible alternative drug for use in infants and pregnant womens.

Contraindications
Sulphur is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity reactions.
Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Sulphur are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Local irritation.
Indications
Sulphur is primarily indicated in conditions like Acne, Parasite infection, Seborroeic conditions, Sepsis, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Constipation.

Interfrence
Risks

Powder Store in a well closed container.
Warnings
Avoid sulphur to contact with eyes, mouth or other mucous membrane.
