Homatropine (HBr)

Homatropine (HBr) is the hydrobromide salt of homatropine which is atropine ester of mendelic acid, having anticholinergic effects similar to atropine but weaker than atropine. Homatropine (HBr) is used as a mydriatic. Homatropine (HBr) is relaxes the eye muscles and causing the pupil to dilate. italso used during eye examinations.

Contraindications

Indications
Homatropine (HBr) is primarily indicated in conditions like Cycloplegia induction, Glucoma, Induce cycloplegia, Induce mydriasis, Mydriasis induction, Uveitis.
