Perfluorochemical Emulsion

Perfluorochemical emulsion is indicated to prevent or diminish myocardial ischemia, as manifested by decreased ventricular wall motion and global ejection fraction, occurring during percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) in patients at high risk of ischemic complications of angioplasty.

Contraindications
Perfluorochemical Emulsion is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to any component of product.
Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Perfluorochemical Emulsion, which give rise to further complications include Hypotension, Bradycardia, Ventricular tachycardia, Ventricular fibrillation, Dyspnea.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Perfluorochemical Emulsion are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Chills, Urticaria, Nausea and vomiting, Back pain.
Indications
Perfluorochemical Emulsion is primarily indicated in conditions like Myocardial ischaemia.
