Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Semustine, which give rise to further complications include Renal damage, Thrombocytopenia.The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Semustine include Convulsions, Pulmonary fibrosis, Leucopenia, Optic neuritis.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Semustine are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Nausea and vomiting, Hyperpigmentation.
Indications
Semustine is primarily indicated in conditions like Brain tumors, Colorectal cancer, Lymphomas, Stomach cancer.

Warnings
Used with caution in children who are at risk of severe delayed pul;monary toxicity, reduced lung function. Blood counts should be monitored weekly. Renal and hepatic functions should be monitored periodically.
