Guanabenz

Guanabenz is an antihypertensive drug used to treat high blood pressure. Its derivative Guanabenz Acetate is an alpha agonist used to treat hypertension.

Effects
The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Guanabenz include Hypotension, fatigue, Dizziness, Irritability, Pinpoint pupils, Sleepiness, Slow heartbeat.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Guanabenz are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Weakness, Dizziness, Headache, Drowsiness, Nausea, Dry mouth, Dry mouth, dizziness.

Guanabenz is primarily indicated in conditions like Hypertension.

Warnings
Guanabenz will add to the effects of alcohol and other CNS depressants. Guanabenz should be used with caution in severe hepatic and renal faliure. Avoid in pregnancy. Cautions should be taken if you had a recent heart attack or severe heart diseases. Donot breast feed while taking Guanabenz acetate. Driving should be avoided as Guanabenz acetate may cause drowsiness.
