Amyl Nitrate

Amyl Nitrate referred to as pentyl nitrate,is an alkyl nitrate which acts as a vasodilator,expanding blood vessels and thus lowering blood pressure.It is also used as a recreational inhalant,known by its street name "poppers",for the brief euphoric "rush" that drug produces.

Contraindications

Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Amyl Nitrate are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Dizziness, Headache.
Indications
Amyl Nitrate is primarily indicated in conditions like Angina, Cyanide poisoning.
