Aceclofenac

Acelofenac is an analgesic anti-inflammatory drug, belongs to NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). The actions, uses and adverse effects similar to Diclofenac.

Dose: 100 mg

Frequency: 12 hourly
Route: PO
Instructions: Reduce dose to 100 mg in hepatic impairment.

Characteristics
Aceclofenac also known as Aceclofenacum. . It is of Synthetic origin and belongs to Phenylacetic acid. It belongs to Cyclo-oxygenase inhibitor pharmacological group on the basis of mechanism of action. The Molecular Weight of Aceclofenac is 354.18.
Contraindications
Aceclofenac is contraindicated in conditions like Pregnancy,Breast feeding.
Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Aceclofenac, which give rise to further complications include Leucocytoclastic vasculitis, Lung haemoptysis.Aceclofenac produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Severe GI bleeding, Peptic ulceration, Hematotoxicity. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Aceclofenac therapy.The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Aceclofenac include Hypotension, Nausea, Vomiting, Apnea, Coma, Seizures, Blurred vision, Drowsiness, Dizziness, Headache, Renal failure.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Aceclofenac are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Dizziness, Vertigo, Headache, Drowsiness, Nausea, Diarrhea, Insomnia, Nervousness, Tinnitus, Hematuria, Photosensitivity, Depression, Fluid retention, Hypersensitivity reactions, Hearing disturbances, GI discomfort, Hepatic damage, Pancreatitis, Stevens Johnson syndrome, Toxic epidermal necrolysis, Aseptic maningitis, Nephrotic syndrome, nervousness.
Indications
Aceclofenac is primarily indicated in conditions like Ankylosing spondylitis, Muscle relaxation (rapid onset, short duration), Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis.

Risks

Warnings
