Muramidase(HCl)

Lysozyme (HCl) is an enzyme mucopolysacchridase that is used for its antimicrobial properties. Lysozyme (HCl) is active especially against gram +ve bacteria, but also active against some viruses and gram -ve bacteria. Lysozyme (HCl) is used as an adjunct in the treatment of herpes zoster and other viral infections and for mouth and respiratory-tract disorders.

Characteristics
Lysozyme(HCl), Lysozyme(HCl) are the derivatives of Muramidase(HCl). It is of Natural origin and belongs to Mucopolysaccharides. . It is weakly acidic drug.
Contraindications
Muramidase(HCl) is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to any component of product.
Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Muramidase(HCl) are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Anorexia, Rashes, Stomatitis, Redness, Nausea and vomiting, Hypersensitivity reactions, Liver dysfunction, Epidermal necrolysis, Stomach upset.
Indications
Muramidase(HCl) is primarily indicated in conditions like Advanced breast cancer, Herpes zoster, Mouth infections, Respiratory infection, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Viral infection.
