Pine Tar

Pine Tar is obtained by the destructive distillation of the wood of various trees of family Pinaceae. Pine Tar is used in various antipruriticand antiseptic preparations. Pine Tar is used topically in certain inflmmatory conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, seborrhoeic dematitis.

Contraindications

Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Pine Tar are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include CNS depression, Pulmonary edema, Local corrosion with pain, Nausea, vomiting, sweating, and diarrhea (when ingested ).

Pine Tar is primarily indicated in conditions like Dandruff, Eczema, Psoriasis, Seborrheic dermatitis, Skin diseases.
