Sermorelin

Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide used for the diagnosis of growth hormone deficiency. It has been invastigated as an adjunct to gonadotrophin therapy in the induction of ovulation.

Contraindications
Sermorelin is contraindicated in conditions like Pregnancy,Breast feeding.
Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Sermorelin are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Facial flushing, Pain at injection site.
Indications
Sermorelin is primarily indicated in conditions like Termination of pregnancy of 13-24 weeks gestation.

Warnings
Sermorelin should be used with caution in patients with epilepsy; disccontinue growth hormone therapy 1-2 weeks before test; untreated hypothyroidism, antithyroid drugs; obesity, hyperglycaemia, elevated plasma fatty acids; avoid preparation which affect release of growth hormone (including those affecting release of somatostatin, insulin or glucocorticoidsand cyclo-oxygenase inhibitors such as aspirin and indometacin).
