A bismuth chelate effective in healing gastric and duodenal ulcers. A two week regimen containing tripotassium dicitratobismuthate plus a proton pump inhibitor plus two antibacterials may be effective in patients who have not responded to first-line regimens, it also prevents relapse of duodenal ulcer.

Contraindications

Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Tripotassium Dicitratobismuthate are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Darkening of stool and tongue, Nausea and vomiting.
Indications
Tripotassium Dicitratobismuthate is primarily indicated in conditions like Benign gastric ulcer, Duodenal ulcer, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Helicobacter pylori infection.
