Characteristics
chenodial, chenodial are the derivatives of Chenodeoxycholic Acid. It is of Semi Synthetic origin and belongs to Steroid. It belongs to Bile solubiliser (GI) pharmacological group on the basis of mechanism of action and also classified in Histamine (H-2) Antagonists and Antilipemic Agent pharmacological group.The Molecular Weight of Chenodeoxycholic Acid is 392.60. Its pKa is 6.5.
Contraindications
Chenodeoxycholic Acid is contraindicated in conditions like Calcified gallstones,Chronic liver disease,Non-functioning gallbladders.
Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Chenodeoxycholic Acid, which give rise to further complications include Hepatotoxicity, Hepatotoxicity, hypertransaminasemia, Hypertransaminasemia.Chenodeoxycholic Acid produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Colonic cancer. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Chenodeoxycholic Acid therapy.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Chenodeoxycholic Acid are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Diarrhea.
Indications
Chenodeoxycholic Acid is primarily indicated in conditions like Cerebrotendinous xanthomatosis, Gall stones.

Warnings
