Celiprolol (HCl)

Celiprolol (HCl) is a cardioselective beta blocker. It possesses intrinsic sympathomimetic and direct vasodilator activity. It is, therefore, used in the treatment of hypertension and angina pectoris.

Contraindications

Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Celiprolol (HCl), which give rise to further complications include Bradycardia.The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Celiprolol (HCl) include Bradycardia, Hypotension.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Celiprolol (HCl) are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Palpitation, Cold extremities, Depression, Tremor, Hypersensitivity, Breathlessness.
Indications
Celiprolol (HCl) is primarily indicated in conditions like Angina pectoris, Hypertension, Mild to moderate hypertension, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Arrhythmias, Supraventricular arrhythmias.
