Dose: 225 units/min
Single Dose: 220 (225)
Frequency: As recommended.
Route: IV
Instructions: Infuse at a rate not exceeding 2 mL/minute.(225 units/min~2mL/min

Characteristics
Factor IX also known as Christmas Factor. . It is of Natural origin and belongs to Antihaemophillic factor B. . The Molecular Weight of Factor IX is 70000.00. It is weakly acidic drug, 240.00% solution of the drug is isotonic and Its pKa is 4.30-4.45.
Contraindications
Factor IX is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to any component of product.
Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Factor IX, which give rise to further complications include Urticaria, Hepatitis, HIV vieus transmission.Factor IX produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Myocardial infarction, Pulmonary embolism, Disseminated intravascular coagulation, deep vein thrombosis. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Factor IX therapy.The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Factor IX include Hemorrhage, Venous thromboembolism, Myocardial infarction.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Factor IX are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Headache, Fever, Chills, Flushing, Nausea and vomiting, Unpleasant taste.

Factor IX is primarily indicated in conditions like Blood disorders, Haemophilia.

Risks
Drug should not be given to Pregnant Mothers, patients suffering from Liver Malfunction, and Neonates.If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
Storage
Dry Powder Store at room temperature or refrigerator. Use within 1-6 month if kept at room temperature. Inj (reconstituted soln) Store at room temperature. Use within 3 hrs if kept at room temperature.
Warnings
It should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.It should be used with cauiton in patients with any pre-existing diseases or any allergies. Before and during injection check heart rate.The dose or rate of infusion may need to be changed if heart rate is too fast.Should be used with care in patients with theomboembolism.
