Frequency: As recommended.

Characteristics
belongs to Metal Sugar. It belongs to Parenteral Iron Preparation pharmacological group.The Molecular Weight of Iron Sucrose is 43200.00. It is weakly alkaline drug.
Contraindications
Iron Sucrose is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to any component of product.
Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Iron Sucrose are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Headache, Fever, Hypotension, Flushing, Abdominal distress, Nausea and vomiting, Edema, Metallic taste, Muscle pain.
Indications
Iron Sucrose is primarily indicated in conditions like Anaemia, Iron deficiency.

Risks
Drug should not be given to Pregnant Mothers.If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.

Warnings
This medication should be administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Because body iron excretion is limited and excess tissue iron can be hazardous, caution should be exercised to withhold iron administration in the presence of evidence of tissue iron overload. Avoid intake of oral iron preparations before administering parenteral iron. For IV administration only. Use of intradermal, subcutaneous, IM, or intra-arterial iron administration is contraindicated. Medication should be administered 1 to 3 times/wk. Do not administer iron sucrose more than 3 times a week.
