Tropisetron (HCl)

Tropisetron (HCl) is anti-emetic agent, and 5-HT antagonist. Tropisetron (HCl) is used to prevent vomiting and nausea during cancer chemotherapy.

Characteristics
. It is of Natural origin. It belongs to Antiemetic/Antivertigo Agents and Selective 5-HT3 Receptor Antagonist pharmacological group.It is weakly acidic drug.

Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Tropisetron (HCl) are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Constipation, GI disturbance.
Indications
Tropisetron (HCl) is primarily indicated in conditions like Advanced ovarian cancer, Lung cancer, Nausea and vomiting, Nausea and vomiting (chemotherapy induced), Post-operative nausea and vomiting.
